Storytelling has often served as a foundation for my work. This certainly inspired me to become an illustrator early in my career. I am currently approaching a new body of work that is both universal and personal. The diptych shown here is a work in progress. It is a story of contrast, of control and chaos, of abstracted images of nature that simultaneously soothe and represent internal struggle. It is a mindful meditation that explores the color, texture, and movement of paint on canvas and the symbolism of sacred geometry.
